About Eavoak

For this project, Eavoak worked closely with our Bespoke department throughout the process to specify and supply the Korniche Roof Lantern for the new extension.
Project Overview
The project involved constructing a new oak framed Orangery style extension to the client’s existing kitchen, creating a new dining room with predominantly glazed elevations.
The extension was designed to make the most of the surrounding garden views, whilst the oak framed structure added a distinctive feature to the overall design.
The roof design incorporated a feature parapet perimeter, concealing a flat roof surrounding a central glazed roof lantern.
The flat roof was designed to fall into a box gutter where it met the original building.
At the centre of the roof, the Korniche Roof Lantern provides the main source of overhead natural light, becoming a defining feature of the finished extension.
The Korniche Roof Lantern
The Korniche system is designed to combine slim sightlines with large areas of glazing, allowing natural light to pour into the space whilst maintaining a clean, contemporary appearance.

Working With Edge’s Bespoke Department
Projects with unusual dimensions, specific design requirements, or bespoke products can require a more tailored approach than a standard order.
For this installation, Eavoak worked closely with the Edge Bespoke department throughout the process.
This allowed the requirements of the project to be discussed in detail and the roof lantern to be specified around the overall design of the extension.
Our Bespoke team works closely with customers to help make the process of ordering specialist products as straightforward as possible, from initial discussions through to supply.
The Finished Result
The completed extension combines the warmth and character of the oak framed structure with extensive glazing and a central Korniche Roof Lantern.
The result is a bright, spacious dining area that makes the most of the garden outlook, whilst the roof lantern creates a striking focal point within the room.
